Born in Palermo, medical doctor and photographer, he worked for several years as a photojournalist with several local newspapers and in particular with the "Giornale di Sicilia" and other Italian magazines, specializing in travel reportages and in theatrical and stage photography.

In recent years he has collaborated with several Italian agencies and with prestigious online publications such as Witness Journal, PhotoPhiles, Photojournale.

After two years dedicated to discovering the various aspects of Japanese society, he created a personal exhibit titled “Taisho / Contrasto” both in Palermo and in Rome. In 2009 one of his images taken in Tokyo was selected and included in a book published in the U.S. titled "Connection across a Human Planet" which collected the best shots of that year from photographers of the most important newspapers such as National Geographic, Time, PeaceReporter, Focus, Herald Tribune etc.

In 2010 he made a reportage on the illegal detention centers of the Argentine dictatorship which was published in various Italian and foreign magazines; using the images also for a theatrical show staged in 2015 entitled "Despariciones" which he also directed.

In 2011, his shots in New York during Hurricane Irene was accepted for the final phase of the "World Press Photo".

From 2013 to 2015 he taught theater and stage photography at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities - University of Palermo.

In 2013 he made a reportage on the city of Varanasi in India which became a book in 2014 entitled "Varanasi the Holy City".

Being in Paris on November 13th 2015 during the terrorist attacks that led to the massacre of the Bataclan, he took several images that were subsequently used to create an installation in collaboration with the painter Roberto Fontana at the Sala Bataclan of the San Saverio University boarding school in Palermo since title "Je Suis Paris"

He recently completed an extensive photographic project on his city of Palermo which led to the publication of a book entitled "Palermo social network".

He is currently engaged in following various Sicilian theatrical realities documenting the performances of the complex local scene.

‍Nato ‍a ‍Palermo, ‍medico ‍e ‍fotografo, ‍ha ‍lavorato ‍per ‍diversi ‍anni ‍come ‍fotoreporter ‍con ‍diversi ‍quotidiani ‍locali ‍ed ‍in ‍particolare ‍con ‍il ‍“Giornale ‍di ‍Sicilia” ‍e ‍altre ‍riviste ‍italiane, ‍specializzandosi ‍in ‍reportage ‍di ‍viaggi ‍e ‍in ‍fotografia ‍teatrale ‍e ‍di ‍scena.

‍Negli ‍ultimi ‍anni ‍ha ‍collaborato ‍con ‍diverse ‍agenzie ‍italiane ‍e ‍con ‍prestigiose ‍pubblicazioni ‍online ‍come ‍Witness ‍Journal, ‍PhotoPhiles, ‍Photojournale.

‍Dopo ‍due ‍anni ‍dedicati ‍a ‍scoprire ‍i ‍vari ‍aspetti ‍della ‍società ‍Giapponese, ‍ha ‍realizzato ‍una ‍mostra ‍personale ‍Taisho/Contrasto ‍esposta ‍sia ‍a ‍Palermo ‍che ‍a ‍Roma. ‍Nel ‍2009 ‍una ‍sua ‍immagine ‍scattata ‍a ‍Tokio ‍è ‍stata ‍selezionata ‍ed ‍inserita ‍in ‍un ‍libro ‍pubblicato ‍negli ‍U.S. ‍dal ‍titolo ‍“Connection ‍across ‍a ‍Human ‍Planet” ‍che ‍raccoglieva ‍i ‍migliori ‍scatti  di ‍quell’anno ‍dei ‍fotografi ‍delle ‍più ‍importanti ‍testate ‍giornalistiche ‍come ‍National ‍Geographic, ‍Time, ‍PeaceReporter, ‍Focus,Herald ‍Tribune ‍etc. ‍

‍Nel ‍2010 ‍realizza ‍un ‍reportage ‍sui ‍centri ‍di ‍detenzione ‍clandestina ‍della ‍dittatura ‍Argentina ‍che ‍veniva ‍pubblicato ‍in ‍diverse ‍riviste ‍italiane ‍e ‍straniere, ‍utilizzando ‍le ‍immagini ‍anche ‍per ‍uno ‍spettacolo ‍teatrale ‍andato ‍in ‍scena ‍nel ‍2015 ‍dal ‍titolo ‍“Despariciones” ‍di ‍cui ‍ha ‍curato ‍anche ‍la ‍regia.

‍Nel ‍2011 ‍il ‍suo ‍reportage ‍effettuato ‍a ‍New ‍York ‍durante ‍l’uragano ‍Irene ‍è ‍stato ‍accettato ‍per ‍la ‍fase ‍finale ‍del ‍“World ‍Press ‍Photo”.

‍Dal ‍2013 ‍al ‍2015 ‍insegna ‍fotografia ‍teatrale ‍e ‍di ‍scena ‍alla ‍Facoltà ‍di ‍Lettere ‍dell’università ‍di ‍Palermo.

‍Nel ‍2013 ‍realizza ‍un ‍reportage ‍sulla ‍città ‍di ‍Varanasi ‍in ‍India ‍che ‍diventa ‍un ‍libro ‍nel ‍2014 ‍dal ‍titolo ‍“Varanasi ‍the ‍Holy ‍City”.

‍Trovandosi ‍a ‍Parigi ‍il ‍13 ‍Novembre ‍2015 ‍durante ‍gli ‍attacchi ‍terroristici ‍che ‍hanno ‍portato ‍alla ‍strage ‍del ‍Bataclan, ‍scatta ‍diverse ‍immagini ‍che ‍successivamente ‍sono ‍state ‍utilizzate ‍per ‍realizzare ‍una ‍installazione ‍in ‍collaborazione ‍con ‍il ‍pittore ‍Roberto ‍Fontana ‍presso ‍la ‍Sala ‍Bataclan ‍del ‍pensionato ‍universitario ‍San ‍Saverio ‍di ‍Palermo ‍dal ‍titolo ‍“Je ‍Suis ‍Paris”

‍Recentemente ‍ha ‍completato ‍un ‍ampio ‍progetto ‍fotografico ‍sulla ‍sua ‍città ‍Palermo ‍che ‍ha ‍portato ‍alla ‍pubblicazione ‍di ‍un ‍libro ‍dal ‍titolo ‍“Palermo ‍social ‍network”.

‍Attualmente ‍è ‍impegnato ‍a ‍seguire ‍diverse ‍realtà ‍teatrali ‍siciliane ‍documentando ‍le ‍performance ‍della ‍complessa ‍scena ‍locale.
